Special Events
Volunteer Screening and Party- For volunteers only
Every year we celebrate and honor the exceptional work and dedication
of our volunteers by inviting them to an exclusive preview screening on
the Thursday before the Festival. This year the screening will take
place at 7 PM on Thursday, September 27.
Immediately following the screening all
volunteers are welcomed to a volunteer only party at the Water Street
Brewery and Ale House, 639 Water Street, at approximately 9:00 PM. At
the party there will be lots of fun finger food (with vegetarian
options), a live bluegrass/folk band, and a no-host bar with the
Festival providing non-alcoholic drinks. It is a lot of fun for
us to have a chance to be together before the Festival, to socialize,
and to dance! Just be sure to wear your neon green volunteer hat
– it's your ticket to the dance.
Friday Night Dinner- For Pass-holders
The Sicilean Feast Friday Night Dinner on Taylor Street is a Festival tradition.
The Executive Director opens the festival at 4:30 PM by overseeing a
ribbon cutting with the help of our VIP guest. Then pass-holders
get in line for scrumptious food provided by the Silverwater
Café. With the atmosphere set, the movies can begin.
Filmmakers' Reception- For PTFF patron level members and by invitation
Each Friday evening there is an intimate gathering of PTFF Board
Members, Patrons and Filmmakers. It is a chance to welcome
filmmakers to the Festival – for we couldn't exist without them. We
celebrate their art and achievements in style.

VIP Reception- For PTFF producer and patron level members and by invitation
Saturday evening the Festival stages a reception to honor our VIP
Guest. Tuxedo-clad volunteers serve appetizers and champagne to
guests who socialize with the stars, under the stars.
Wrap Party– Everyone is welcome!
Come one, come all. Last year we created a place for people who
just couldn't get enough of the Festival atmosphere, just couldn't say,
"So long, it's been good to know you." Whether you are a volunteer
dragging your flattened feet over to the Upstage for refreshment at the
end of a long day, a filmmakers who wants to meet up with some newly
made friends, or attendees who are too wired to sleep… Come on over to
the no-host wrap party, say around 9:30 ish, until…
