Our fourth-annual The Envelope Please... celebration will be more amazing than ever. The Jefferson County Fairground's  Erickson Building will provide better visibility and sound for the Academy Awards® broadcast courtesy of Broadstripe. None other than Joanne Saul’s appropriately named Dream City Catering will serve the plated dinner. Professional Fundraising Auctioneer and dedicated film buff, Laura Michalek, will conduct the live and dessert auction. (You may have seen Laura’s magic at the Centrum Auction, 206-464-0850, www.seattleauctioneer.com.) And because we will be dressed in our Port Townsend best, professional photographer Victor Judd (topfloordesigns.net) will be there to capture candid photos of us in all our finery. Photos will be available for purchase from Victor's website.

Reservations are required.  All tables seat eight. Please call early to reserve your preferred table location, as space is limited.  

The Gala Program

3:30 pm – Champagne & hors d'oeuvres reception
4:30 pm – Silver silent auction section closes
4:45 pm – Gold silent auction section closes
5:00 pm – Academy Awards live broadcast* and Live & Dessert Auction
6:00 pm – Dinner is served
7:00 pm – Dessert is served

*We will have an exciting alternative broadcast prepared in case the writers are still on strike.

The Dream City Dinner Menu

Appetizer – Brie on Crustini with Caramelized Apples
Salad – Mixed Greens, shaved fennel, tomatoes and shallot vinaigrette
Main Course Choices – Chicken Saltimbocca / Pork Tenderloin with Sage Reduction / Eggplant Parmesan (Vegetarian)
Side – Rosemary Roasted Red Potatoes
Vegetable – Winter Vegetable Ratatouille (In honor of the Oscar nominated film)
Beverages – Coffee, tea and sodas are provided with dinner. A no-host bar is available.
The Dessert Auction: confections from some of the best chefs in town. The desserts you purchase at the auction will be served at approximately 7:00 pm.

WHAT IF... Contest

What if you were nominated for an Academy Award? What would you SAY?
 
It’s time to enter our What If… contest, give your unique acceptance speech to an adoring and appreciative audience, and win over $500 in prizes. 
 
To enter write your dream acceptance speech in 250 words or less.  Make it serious, make it funny, real or fantastic, and thank whomever you like. Email your entry to nancy@ptfilmfest.com with the subject line, “What If… contest”. It must arrive no later than noon on Friday, February 1.  Be sure to include your name, address and daytime phone number.  Only one speech per person, please.
 
Three lucky finalists will attend The Envelope Please... Gala as our guests where the winner will be announced. The winning contestant will give his or her acceptance speech and receive a guaranteed standing ovation. In addition to adulation, the winner will receive a 2008 Producer Pass worth $500.
