As Hagrid would say…"Sorry 'bout That"
In sending the "Guess the Guest" clue out last week, something happened. Somehow, the program decided that once you hit "Reply", it went back to everyone on the list. Needless to say, I heard from many of you and by the day's end, the problem was corrected…I hope. Personally, I'm blaming it on sunspots.
"Guess the Guest"
Clue #3
You'll excuse me a bit of a whine
As I cry for awards that are mine,
But my ego's not fed
Or as Granny told Jed,
Counting Emmys, I've only won nine.
We've had many a correct response to the clues, particularly after so many made the circuit of the mail. So, to be fair a small change is being made. All of the participants who have correctly identified the guest, role and title for all the clues, will have their name put into a hat and the "winner" will be named next week. The winner will receive:
o Invitation for two to the reception for the guest after the screening,
o An introduction to the honored guest, and
o A photograph taken with the guest.
To enter the contest, all you have to do is email, snail mail, or hand-deliver your entry.
To email, send the entry to info@ptfilmfest.com, subject: Guess the Guest Contest
To snail mail, send it to PTFF Contest, P.O. Box 594, Port Townsend, WA 98368
To hand-deliver, take the entry to 211 32-A Taylor St (Mount Baker Block) in downtown Port Townsend. If no one is in the office, use the mail slot in the door.
ENTRIES MUST INCLUDE
o Name of the honored guest, roles played and the title of each production
o Your name and daytime telephone
WE HAVE A PROGRAM!
49 DAYS
AND COUNTING
As of the end of last week, the program grid is basically filled, with only a couple of holes. If I must say, it looks really good! We will be having a couple of Irish features, not yet seen in Washington, a documentary about a man is working incredibly hard at eliminating his carbon footprint, the premier of a TCM Special program and an animated feature film about a guy with wings. 31 feature length films and documentaries and 36 shorts about life & death, relationships, determined children, bathtubs, pianos, great artists, kayaks, zombies and environment. What more could you ask for!
