Film guest clue revealed during Gallery Walk

Port Townsend Film Festival joins July Gallery Walk tour with an open house.

Port Townsend, WA, June 28, 2006: Not only will lots of movie chatter and gourmet snacks be available at the new Port Townsend Film Festival office during Gallery Walk, but visitors can stop by Saturday, July 1, to hear the first clue identifying the 2006 special guest.

Richard Miller, the 2006 Film Festival poster artist, will also speak briefly at 6 p.m. on the process involved with making his unique photographs. Examples of Miller's work is online.

The new Film Festival office is on the third floor of the Mount Baker Block Building, 211 Taylor St., Suite 33.

Gallery Walk is a monthly art tour in downtown on the first Saturday each month from 5-7 p.m. A variety of exhibits go on display at galleries and other shops highlighting the abundance of décor available locally.

After highlighting Miller's work, Film Festival organizers will thank volunteers for their tireless work and show off the new, bigger office that event operations moved into early this year.

Finally, the festivities at the Port Townsend Film Festival office include revealing the first Guess-the-Guest contest clue. The series of four clues will also appear in local newspapers. The winner of the contest drawn from those who guess correctly, gets his or her photo taken with the guest at a special reception during the festival.

Passes are on sale now for the seventh annual festival taking place September 15-17. Event passes are available from the festival's Web site at www.ptfilmfest.com or by calling the festival office at 360-379-1333.

The Port Townsend Film Festival is an annual event envisioned as "a film lover's block party celebrating great films and filmmakers."
