Guess the Guest Contest Winner Announced!
Lousia Espinosa, from Aurora, CO is the winner of this year’s Guess The Guest Contest! While she has never attended the festival, she and her husband visited PT last year while celebrating their 10th anniversary, loved the area, took out a subscription to the Peninsula Daily News and decided to take a chance. Currently on a road trip, they are hoping to get out here in time for the festival.
The guesses made about our star were many and varied. Suggested male stars include; Peter Falk, Robert Loggia, Alan Arkin, Haim Topol, Paul Sand, Mel Brooks and Christopher Lee. Female suggestions: Francis McDormand and Barbara Streisand.
Thanks to all of you who played, especially when things got confusing. For those of you who are wondering, the limericks were created by former PT resident Michael Thomsett.

Cloris Leachman!
Academy award winner for her role in “The Last Picture Show”, Cloris has appeared in several Mel Brooks movies, won 9 Emmys and several Golden Globe awards. While many of us associate her with the roles of Frau Blucher and Phyllis, during her Mary Tyler Moore days, Cloris appeared in “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” and can be currently seen in “Inglourious Basterds”.
Saturday evening (September 26th) Cloris will be interviewed by festival favorite, Robert Osborne, following the screening of “The Last Picture Show”, with another opportunity to see her onscreen in “High Anxiety” at the Sunday night outdoor movie.
The Port Townsend Film Festival has selected another Hollywood legendary star as its honored guest for the tenth annual festival, September 24-27, 2009.

There is a new twist this year. In addition to Guessing the Guest, entrants must also name the role played and the production they appeared in.
The first person to correctly identify the 2009 PTFF honored guest, and have correctly responded with the other identifying information (part played and production title) will receive:
- Invitation for two to the reception for the guest after the screening,
- An introduction to the honored guest, and
A photograph taken with the guest.
